Why is my mind chattering?

Have you ever asked that question, for yourself? Why is your mind so restless, always chattering, going from one thing to another, moving from one entertainment to another? Why is your mind chattering? And what will you do about it? Your immediate impulse is to control it: "I must not chatter". The controller who says, "I must not chatter", is in itself part of chattering. Do you see the beauty of it?

So what will you do? You can examine the causes of chattering, how chattering is part of the mind being occupied. The mind, including the whole structure, the brain, must be occupied with something - with sex, with television, with cooking, with cleaning the house, with football, with going to church, always occupied. Why must it be occupied? If it is not occupied are you not rather uncertain, do you not fear being unoccupied? You feel empty, you feel lost, you begin to realize that there is tremendous loneliness inside.

Stay at KFICC

KFICC offers a Guest House facility available for those who are interested in self exploration. There are four Guest Rooms, available both for single and double occupancy. There is also a self-sustaining kitchen where guests can cook simple meals. They may also ask for arranging cooked food from outside with a small amount of charges. This property is a vegetarian campus and any consumption of meat, fish, or eggs are strictly prohibited. This campus is non-smoking and consumption of alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited.

Usually, our pantry has a steady supply of basic food items required for preparing meals and/or breakfast. Guests at KFICC can avail the library and the study center during the scheduled hours. They can also borrow books from the library and read at their own convenience during their stay at the center. From the premises, a guest can enjoy the beauty of nature, a partial view of the River Kathjodi, the open sky, and of course, the heavy traffic across the road. In spite of the city noises, there are spots inside the campus that offer quiet environments to its guests.
During their stay, guests are encouraged to participate in scheduled dialogues and similar events. They can also initiate non-scheduled interaction with like-minded people.

The guest rooms and the auditorium have air conditioners that help its users beat the harrowing temperatures of summer.
Please submit a form requesting your interest in staying at our guest house, with details of your intended stay. We charge a nominal fare to help us maintain the facility.
